When talking about the importance of mentoring, my friend Zig Ziglar couldn’t have said it any better:

"A lot of people have gone further than they thought they could because someone else thought they could."

Ask any millionaire and, if they are honest about it, they will almost certainly admit to having benefited from the advice of a mentor at some point along the way.

I still have mentors to this day. They make me even wealthier, happier, and more fulfilled.

The first step to finding a good mentor, is of course, coming to terms with the fact that you actually can benefit from having one. Going it alone is an admirable but highly flawed approach to taking on the world.
